Perfectly Elocuted

Even at a 2 second recharge, I think Glimmer of Light is a great skill.

Personally I think Wearing Strike is pretty ridiculous, and it doesn't look like they nerfed YAA as hard as some people would have liked. Drain Delusions looks like nice edenial/management. Toxicity wasn't touched, really, which would probably put it up there. I really like Holy Haste, and there are alot of hot new monk skills. What do you guys think?
|
Toxicity is -2 fix now, not -2..-4. It's still a significant change, even though it remains an incredible spirit. Magebane Shot is insane on Rangers imo, Savage Shot that instantly recharge when you interrupt a spell... Forked Arrow is pretty incredible too (Dual Shot on 5s recharge without the 25% reduction as long as you're not enchanted/hexed).
From what i read Mystic Sweep and Eremite's Attack on Dervish are now .75 activation instead of next attack, and Twin Moon Sweep (lose an enchant, strike twice) is now 5E/6s recharge. So Twin Moon Sweep + Mystic can easily be done every 6s to do 3 Scythe Attacks + 30 damage, which is actually a damn big spike if someone else is doing DW. If no one is, you can do like Wearying Strike-Mystic (though you'll lose some Scythe damage from Weakness this way, it's still quite close to Evis-Exec without using elite and spikes even faster on shorter recharge. Avatar of Melandru can also remove that problem half the time). This is gonna allow Dervishes to spike heavily if true (can't confirm atm).
Monks got Revitalize and Glimmer of Light which are pretty insane.
Dunno, so many good skills overall in NF.

The skill I quite like is Barbed Arrows.
One ranger can constantly churn out -7 degen, freeing up another character to do something else.

Oh snap, you're right about Toxicity. It's still a really strong skill though. And you're right about all the derv skills also. You pretty much need wearing on any dervish bar though, DW on a two second recharge is just too much.

Chilling winds looks pretty awesome on a hybrid runner. (15 sec Deep Freeze)
I still think Shattering Assauld is retarded, but noone seems to agree with me lol
Burning Arrow is good as well.
What about mending touch? RC to keep the team clean, MT to keep the RC clean?
Ether Prism ofcourse, especially since they buffed Glyph of Concentration

SEARING FLAMES. I can't wait to run some Elementalist (or Me/E) spikes. The ability to spam the spell while your other spike spells are recharging (and there IS a way to get around the 15E and spam the spell) plus the AOE of the spell means these kinds of spike builds are going to have pretty much the most powerful spike ever AND be able to sustain constant pressure. Love it.

IMO, Crippling Anthem is ftw on a support/buff character, and Soldiers fury combined with watch yourself for a perma frenzy on a melee/damage type

Blinding Surge, Lightning Strike, Arc Lightning, Lightning Orb, Gale, Glyph of Restoration, Air Attunement, (Rez sig for RA, Gaze of Contempt for FA, Windborne Speed for AB)
Most fun build I've ever run. Besides, what skill has an icon as cool as a guy getting his eyes burned out by laser beams? Other than Concussion Shot.

I second the searing flames nomination. You can fit in the energy management to spam it, and it's just a fun skill to play with. It makes the elementalist feel powerful again.

Your All Alone...It was horribly broken during the preview (teams were running 4-5 copies of it...) and anet responsibly nerfed it by increasing recharge to 10 seconds...is it even worth GvGing?

On the Mesmer front, most of the Elites are crap (Enchanter's Conundrum + Shatter Delusions is fun in RA, though), but a lot of the new Mesmer non-Elites will see a lot of use. Spiritual Pain and to a lesser extent Wastrel's Demise will see to it that Mesmers become much stronger spike-wise. Ether Phantom and Drain Delusions also make E-denial much more viable in high-level PvP.

YAA did get a bit of a nerf -- the recharge is higher and the cripple applies on top of the weakness now instead of the other way around.

For HA I think Glimmer of Light will replace WoH. RC Prot will still be standard.
For GvG I think 1 Mo/A Blessed Light and 1 Mo/A Zealous Benediction will become the norm.

Oh still a good skill, but it was nerfed (just doesn't say so in the description). No long adjacent, but nearby.
